The genesis of Deuteronomy Dads

The vision/Genesis of Deuteronomy Dads came about as I prepared for a Men’s Night & Gumbo Fellowship at Grace Works Church in Prairieville, LA. October 2016

I prayed and asked God for the message He wanted me to share with the men. I was led to these verses in Deuteronomy along with several others that were included in my testimony.

After I’d written down my thoughts, testimony, and key points I allowed my wife Kimen to read over the message. She said, Deuteronomy Dads, Deuteronomy Dudes.

It was October of 2016 and our family was going through the transition of looking for a new church home after my wife had unexpectedly been let go. Praise the Lord that a childhood friend along with his Children’s minister in Baton Rouge spent time with my wife and we plugged in. It was a time that we could have been bitter, but God wanted us to stay connected because he had something better.

This message and confirmation from my wife planted a seed for Deuteronomy Dads.
